Cardiovascular Consultation

A comprehensive, non-invasive diagnostic cardiovascular service for our patients, including ongoing evaluation and management of any possible cardiovascular issues. Prevention, we believe, offers the best outcome.

Diagnostic cardiac catheterization via radial or femoral approaches

This features a catheter and a balloon used to help open up blockages in the heart’s arteries. A catheter (long, thin tube) is inserted through the radial artery (a blood vessel in the arm) or through the femoral artery (a blood vessel located at the top of the thigh). The catheter is threaded all the way to the heart.

Pacemaker, ICD and loop recorder Implants

Full support services for patients with pacemakers, ICD (implanted cardiac defibrillators) and implanted Loop recorders. We assess battery longevity, lead wire function, data collection information, and heart rhythm recordings where applicable.

Cardioversions

A procedure where an abnormally fast heart rate (tachycardia) or other cardiac arrhythmia is converted to a normal rhythm using electricity or drugs.

Tilt-table testing

A test whereby a person's positioning is changed quickly to see how their blood pressure and heart rate respond.

Trans-esophageal Echocardiogram (TEE)

A special type of echocardiogram, the TEE is performed to see if the heart might be producing clots. A soundwave transducer is placed in the esophagus (the pipe that connects the mouth to the stomach.)

Nuclear stress test

This is an imaging method that uses an injected radioactive material to show how a patient’s blood flows into the heart muscle at rest and during activity.

Echocardiogram

An echocardiogram uses electrodes to check your heart’s rhythm, and is used to help diagnose any heart issues.
